You'll find a list of all the nominees for the best raw people, places, products, and media here:

The winners of Best of Raw 2012 will be announced during the Awards Gala that will take place during the Raw Living Expo in Sedona, AZ on Feb 22-23-24.

My Blog is Moving!
As you may recall I recently launched a brand new website, Carmella's Sunny Raw Kitchen, in December. When you go to the Best of Raw's Online Blog category you'll see that they show a screenshot of my new site as well as my blog on blogger, with the links to both. The content of my old SRK blog has been moved onto the new site, but there's still a few kinks that need to be worked out. As I'm typing this we're in the process of going through every single post - Gosh! I didn't realize I had THAT many! - to fix formatting booboos before making them 'public'. So please bear with us during this transition time. I'll make sure to let you know once every post is officially out!

Walking in Beauty in Fay Canyon, Sedona, AZ

It is sort of interesting for us that as Life would have it we ended up in the Sedona area for the infamous December 21, 2012. It's such a powerful and sacred place; not a bad spot to be for such a major shift. We decided to spend that day surrounded by beauty in one of our favorite places: Fay Canyon.

The views as we approached the wondrous red rock country of Sedona.

Up Dry Creek Road on our way to the Canyon.

As some of you may recall, we visited Fay Canyon a few years back during our first trip to Sedona. It was akin to a religious experience for me, as I was in absolute awe in front of such natural beauty. I know that I've already shared several photos in this post, but I couldn't resist snapping more shots with our new camera.

Don likes to spend a few minutes gazing into the sun whenever he gets the chance. Interestingly he picked that particularly flat rock to do it. As we were walking back a girl stopped us and asked whether we had seen a large flat rock by the side of the trail, as she had read that it is a special power spot. Could it be the same one? ;-)

These next photos were taken as we were headed back towards town.

What we didn't know at the time is that we were going to get many more opportunities to explore Sedona's wonderful trails. Yippee! Tell you more about it in an upcoming post!
